Lost quite a few of them to white spot, which is on the other thread, treating with meds and higher temps, other than nothing else to report, still trying desperately to save the ones that are left, fingers crossed some will survive

Just a quick update the whitespot has not returned which is good, but they just dont seem to be growing at all still feeding them a mixture of bbs, and worms some of them are still the size they were 3 weeks ago, could the whitespot have stunted their growth

Try a massive waterchange. A couple of days later you should notice a big difference.

50% every other day is rather good. You could try 100%, and give the tank a good spring clean? Just make sure the temperature is the same. Plus, it'll give you the chance to count them once and for all!

Hi Sarah. Glad to hear the whitespot is gone! How many litres does their tank hold? It may be that you need to upgrade them to a bigger home and give them a bit more room to grow. I found this helped with my fry when I moved them to a 60L from a 35L. I'm upgrading them again to a 130L this weekend too, tired of them being little pink midgets LOL. Fingers crossed yours pick up soon, at least they're happy and healthy though Smile

They are in a 30 litre, which is all i have for them, i have done the big water change on monday and about a handful of the fry have had a growing spurt, one of them seems huge now compared with the others,

The fry are now split into two 30 litre tanks, see if they will grow now, most are the size of 5 week old fry not 8 weeks old,

Just fished 2 dead ones out they were some of the smallest and didnt seem to be eating much, theres about a handful which seem to growing abit more, theres no rush really im not in a hurry to have them grow up, its my last show this sunday so i can start focusing on my fish room conversion, hopefully that will be better equiped for raising fry.

Well it apears that some of my bigger fry have eaten the smaller fry, some have vanished and havnt found bodies, the remaining fry seem to be doing well i think they are still small for their age but other than that they are healthy, still having trouble with that green algea every 3 or 4 days i have to wipe the glass as it spreads fast

Hi storm i have 4 left, not goot i know considering i started with 30 odd, but i am more than happy to have got this far with them, the four that are left are doing really well now and have finally started growing although still small for their age, they have been on adult brine shrimp for a while now, i have been trying to get them to eat crushed atisons betta pro but they still turn their noses up at it, i think i will probably keep all of them since there is only four, i am on the look out for a nice pair of plakats to spawn again, might be getting a pair of platinum whites from a friend.
