Re: Sarah's Diary
Hi Sarah. Hopefully it's just nature weeding out the weaker ones and your water stats are fine. I hate seeing those sad little white bodies with the black eyes though, I found my first corpse for a week yesterday, gets me everytime! Can't wait to see pics of yours and your tank!!! What do you feed your fry on?

Re: Sarah's Diary
after the first few days when I use green water i use bbs (and egg yolk if I've a bad hatch rate) until they're big enough to take powdered adult food then its dried food and bbs.
I'll also bung daphnia in as soon as daddy is out which they will munch once they're big enough to catch them. (daphnia are a good indicator of water quality too so if they die off then I know I need to check stats)

Re: Sarah's Diary
Pics look great Sarah, from the photos it seems like you have tons of fry!!! It's awesome to see them all so close together interacting together. Mine are in a 54L tank now and so spaced out and hidden!

Re: Sarah's Diary
Just a quick update the fry are still doing well found another 2 dead ones (not green) yesterday when doing water changes, i also managed to siphon most of the crap off the botton they seem to be getting the idea that the pipe is not there to be inspected by them and to get out of the way,
They are still eating well and seem more active now and are swimming about alot, when im sat watching them some of them come and seem to stare at me for ages
How am i ever going to be able to part with them

You have to think about all the people you are going to make happy with something that you helped into being.

Re: Sarah's Diary
You are right chard, not practical to keep them all, might keep one or two though, or even 6 i can enter them into the breeders egglayers class.
