Been watching babies today, there are a cpl that are really playing dad up, they escape the nest he catches then and spits them back up again and as soon as he turns his back they are off again..

Do you think he will be ok till the morning hun? Or should I quickly go and do the divider in the growing out tank and get him out now?
Just been out to check what he is doing.. He is kinda napping away from the nest so I think he will be ok till the morning. I will move CB out to the new breeding tank and do a quick partial water change and put BB back in his tank..

Opps this hasnt been updated for a while.. I have 5 babies out of this spawn, but 5 is better than none in my book..
Here is a pic that I took earlier, they wont stay still long enough either lol..
So here are my babies..
And this is their tiny growing up tank
its only 12x8x7, but I thought it is big enough for them for a few weeks at least..

Thanks Kel, I was looking at them earlier, one is really pale, she is nicknamed blondie. There are a cpl in the right light that are showing a slight blue colour to them They are so sweet, but so bloody quick lol

Re: My breeding diary.. Pic added
Sorry Storm just seen your question.. Five babies have now been moved out of the tank into their own 'beanie boxes'. They are all doing well and growing now.. Will try and get some updated pics tomorrow
I do have a question though. The little ones will eat bbs happily, but I am having a problem getting them to eat flake. I crumble it up to a dust, they swim over look and then swim off again.. How can I get them to eat it?

Re: My breeding diary.. Pic added
start replacing one of their meals with the flake, preferably the first one of the day when they'll be hungriest.
eventually they will start to take it, then gradually replce more feeds with it til you have them fully weaned and onto adult diet
