Diddy aint the word for it, I was round there and there is Mandy with her nose stuck to the tank and glasses on going look there is one, oh there is another and me sat there going yeah mand so there is.. I am as blind as a bat without my glasses lol

On another note, babies seem to be trying to swim - Or should I say 'there's always one', as in just one seems to keep taking off, and poor Dad was all over the place. Was funny to watch he nearly caught him, then baby had burst of speed and he had to chase again. THink tomorrow will be the day daddy comes out

Daddy has been removed! He was al over the tank this morning catching babies, and since Im at work all day thought it best to remove him now in case he gets fed up during the day and eats them

The bad news, I knocked the nest when getting him out, so dont know what happens there, what will the babies do? If they are swimming around will they just find somewhere else to go?

I I wasnt sure how soon they needed the bbs, so been adding it since last night anyway - Thanks Teri, I ordered mine over a week ago now, day before Teri and my lot STILL hasn't come - Getting into an argument now with the ebayer

They don't usually need it until about day 7 after hatching

days 1-3 they feed of the egg sac
days 4-6 they'll look for infusoria or can be fed liquifry, microworms, boiled egg yolk spray
day 7 onwards they all will be big enough to eat newly hatched bbs which you can feed right through and gradually add some powdered adult foods etc as they increase in size to wean them onto adult diet.

oooh better get the egg yolk sorted, cocked up there!

using egg..

hard boiled egg yolk.
crumble a small amount into a glass of water, mix and mash til it's cloudy.

put cloudy suspension into a spray bottle.. 3 sprays per feed max (easy to foul up the water if you use to much)

Mix the suspension up fresh for each feed if possible and keep the egg in the fridge to keep it as fresh as possible.

Just amazed now, watched under the magnifying glass, the babies eating the bits of egg yolk - Well the cloudy bit anyway LOL Just amazed, only saw about 3 or 4, so unless some are hiding I only have a tiny spawn, but that's fine! If I can get just 1 or 2 through I'll be happy for a first attempt!

Babies still there, counted about ten this morning in different places scattered about, so quite chuffed with that! Daddy is quite down though, had a right game getting him to eat anything at the moment, but he ate a couple of bloodworm last night, that's all

Right wish me luck! Im armed with lights and magnifying glass ready to do water change!
