Crowntail Pair *video of KINK*

All the greys have died apart from one small one growing verly slowly, not all the reds have had the lock jaw but the biggest fry that had started to colour up a bit on the fins and tail also got lock jaw and died yesterday

Iv been feeding them the culture worms and banana worms which i wouldnt think would be too big to eat not tried them with the brine shrimp eggs as yet as some only come up to take a breath then back down.

Also 99% of the babies are just staying on the bottom only the odd few are swimming about up and down the tank.

I have had problems with the fine stringy slimy algae on the sides of the tank which iv been removing with a clean paint brush.

Iv noticed also that i have 1 red fry with a slight kink in its tail but is managing fine swimming about.

I read most of the things you said on different internet pages also but wondered if anyone knew anything different thanks Kel

Aww sorry some of you betta have died hun, but even if you just get a couple or even one to adult hood, its still worth while

Thanks Storm thats what im hoping as its only my first attempt at breeding if i raise just one from the spawn i will be happy and will be a keeper lol!

Iv finally seen one of the babies with ventrals, im kinda thinking it maybe a male as they are super long already...il try get a photo of it...

the ventrals often look further back that you'd expect them to be due to those fat tums!!

Yep they are far back thats probably why i missed them, lol!

Looks like i have 3 strong big fry at the moment, but my main problem was trying to keep the fry off the floor and i think iv found a way.

I bought some cherry shrimp and since then the fry move round alot keeping out the shrimps way when they are cleaning up!

Iv noticed that more of the smaller fry have started swimming around more which is good as they wouldve sat around on the bottom all day.

Even my last grey baby is looking good altho still quite small!

Also my algae problem has been reduced changed my lighting and cleaned the algae away, there's none growing on the sides of the tank like before, it looks so much better!

Il get photos of the strong fry as soon as iv got a minute to myself!

Yes sorry had internet problems!

But iv taken photos of one of the babies startin to colour up a bit (my favourite...shhh!) its got a kink in its tail so cute iv noticed its only got one ventral fin.







This little one loves swimming around and is very nosey comes to the front when i look in!

This is just a photo update of 'KINK' my favourite baby with the kink at the base of his/her tail.

Its colouring up nicely now looks like dark body and red fins/tail,
