Iv finally set up another breeding tank and im now planning on trying to spawn my black hm male with my copper hm female.

He's not started a bubblenest as yet far too interested in her!
She's showing her breeding stripes but he's not ready...let her out the chimney to try and get a bit of interest in blowing a bubblenest and nothing...she was following him like a lost puppy and he was swimming away and hiding from her!! Even tho she wasnt being mean to him at all just following him.

Thats what iv been doing nicking Skys bubbles as i did with the other spawn it worked but last night he was so uninterested actually looking down in the dumps sitting on the floor with his tail/fins drooped down and then again on the plant leaves...is he okay? He's eating when food is offered just occasionly looks depressed.

This morning he's flarring away at the girl not looking down at all.

he may just need a few more days to settle in and get used to his new home

might be worth taking girly out, get him settled in the breeding tank and hopefully started on nest building then put her back in the chimney in a few days time.

Iv taken him out of the breeding tank looked really down this afternoon really dont want him stressed out too much, awww he's not a wuss, lol! He seems to have perked up abit now he's in by himself swimming about, im going to give him a couple of days by himself still conditioning him tho as id love to spawn him.

I know you've said before to avoid breeding with reds but i think he took a shine to my red hm female and since been taken away from her he's been down if i where to try him with her what would i get colourwise?

all will have various degrees of the metallics

Up the rear end, lol!! No didnt try that. He's swimming about in his tank still no bubbles tho either...i think he misses Kel his proper mum!

Since iv taken the girl from the breeding tank back into the girly tank she seems to be taking great interest in one of the boys that iv got in a breeder box and he's built a bubble nest!
Since putting the girl back in the girly tank shes very aggressive towards the other girls.

maybe you should spawn her with the bubble boy?

shes probably moody because she didn't get to spawn

Im going to let him settle a bit more and see how he goes he's so cute comes up to see me when i peer in his tank!

I was kinda thinking that shes ready pretty much stripes up so much didnt think id be able to see her stripes due to her shiney colouring but i can her stripes go lighter!

The male is grey with cellophane edging his body looks shiney silver too.

various shades between the two of them.. all shiny metallics

Thoughts on this spawn are on hold due to the fact that my female hm dragon had decided to jump the divide and spawn with my dragon male! Will start a new thread soon.
