Look like they are growing. How many do you estimate?

I estimate about 10-15 left. All the ones on the bottom died.

It seems like it cause they swim really fast. But it's sad that not one bottom ones survived.

Last night took some more pictures.
This one has a dot in the middle of his tail fin. Does anyone know if this fry is safe?

Re: PK Thai fighter spawn 3/9/11
I have to throw back a lot of potential dinners in the middle of summer because of little black dots like that in the Sunfish and Bass. They get worms that curl up in balls that look like they've been heavily peppered. They're not going to hurt you by eating the cooked fish but just knowing the worms are there is enough for me not to want to waste my time filleting them and not eat it. I don't know if that is some sort of parasite or a tumor already growing on it at that age.

It's actually a white dot. I hope its not anything serious cause it's on the biggest fry.

In that case it could be ich. Keep a watch on it to see if the little fella gets more or spreads to others. If it is ich you would need to be careful treating it in that small of fry.

Re: PK Thai fighter spawn 3/9/11
think the lost bottom ones as natural selection.. they weren't up to the grade
spot.. have you much in the way of plants infusoria etc. living in your tank?
if not then do consider ich or velvet, they canl wipe the fry out fast but hopefully it's just a speck of dirt or something that will fall off but do look closely at them all
Hopefully its nothing but do keep us all updated!

Re: PK Thai fighter spawn 3/9/11
Last night I scanned all of them and the biggest fry does not have the spot anymore. whew! I find that the biggest ones are the one who are eating the walter worms and the smaller ones have black bellies.
