This bleeding is getting beyond a joke now, found another 1 this morning.

wondering if it's because I am now breeding 1 generation too far of sibling pairs. Crooked baby is doing well still, but I think I see another with what looks like bleeding, unless it's just colour

Internal bleeding can be a bacterial problem and can be contagious.

The other main cause is ammonia spikes so check the water stats, if this is the case then obviously getting it under control will prevent further deaths.

With fry it's always risky using medicine never mind how young your babies are ... it's always a hard call to treat or not.

For now I just put a low dose of aquarium salt in, they seem ok with it so far. My sponge filter seems to be doing the job and no spikes to be recorded, but I shall keep my eye out, thanks for that Smile always handy to know!

Would meth blue do anything for bacterial infections?

Losing quite a few to the bleeding prob Sad i'm womdering if the air pressure and weather thing is having something to do with it???

either way, the others are picking up and are doing well and eating like piggies. It's really upsetting when you find babies dead during water changes though Sad

Quick update, seem to have cursed myself as one of the smaller ones seems to be dying this morning *sigh* The rest are growing nicely though, as cruel as it was the spate of deaths was good for the remaining fry.

There are a couple of HUGE ones that battle for space in the plants Rolling Eyes but they're never around when I want to take pics lol.

Not before I squashed them and removed. Didn't have cam handy and just reacted like a crazy woman lol. Will try and get pics of any new ones
