Well after the mix up i explained in my other thread i now finally have my 3 new family members...2 males and a female. All where okay when i opened the box and peered in! The grey male was a little stressed but settled in well.

A few photos of them here:

Thanks Kel, they are gorgeous and TBH the bags of water where pretty warm...which i was suprised about after being in there so long.

The little grey delta was a little discoloured and i could see his stress lines! The female is a very fiesty girl flaring at the other girls through her bag.

The red/white boy seems quite chilled did a little flaring at the girls but not much after a while.

That little girl has got some good ray splitting going on there! She should make some fine Halfmoon babies.

What colour male would you recommended if i where to breed her Chard, HM colours in males i have are black and a bright blue.

I keep looking at her rays she's my best female so far, her colour is stunning the seller said she could be classed as orange MG is she right? I have seen orange mg's on aquabid (or thats what they say they are!) Someone else said shes a dragon too, is that right? I dont know how to identify a dragon.Embarassed

I have another female coming from Kel next week, she's also stunning.

I can't tell from the picture but she looks to be light turquoise with Red wash, I don't see how that constitutes as being Orange let alone MG. Maybe that's the lighting in the picture. She does look to have some heavy Dragon scaling though. As far as which male to breed her with, that depends on what you want. With either male you will get multi's in F1 and it would be a crap shoot from there. If she indeed has "MG" in her genes it would take at least two generations for any of it to show up. I bred a Chocolate female to a Red Dragon and only had one survivor from that spawn so I don't know what else could have resulted. I then breed that one male Blue/Red to my Copper line. I got MG, Blue/Red; Platinum Yellow Gold and Copper with varying degrees of Dragon scaling. I am thrilled with the outcome personally. Where most people would look for uniformity I liked the diversity. Spawning the "perfect HM" of a certain color is a worthwhile goal but a little deviatioin along the way doesn't hurt.
