Meet Moonshine

This is Moonshine one of Mandy's boys, he was bought for Bethany my 8 year old daughter who has been nagging me for her own boy betta as hers died about 6 months back.

He's so beautiful and very active, he's loving his new home exploring it.

Bethany picked his name as she keeps saying he's HER fish! (keep getting told off ) wish he was mine!

I wanted her to call him Merlin as he looks magical...he's such a sweetie pie.

Im going to try get photos of the HM girl but photos look like she has no finnage!

Yeah that's the problem I had with her! Why I opted for the video LOL

Just given Moonshine some live plants from my female tank, he keeps looking at them,lol!

Sorry iv not updated before now Mandy, he's doing great he's managing his huge finnage amazingly he's made friends with his neighbour, the yellow SD in the tank next door!

He's still not managing the pellets his mouth is still too small but he's enjoying the krill flakes & live food...even peas cut into teeny tiny pieces!
He loves to swim in and out the pineapple cave and peeps out the window.

Awww thanks hun. Im glad he's doing well! He's such a little sweety! He was the friendliest out of all the babies!

Aw he's looking great, and he's properly horizontal! Does he still struggle with swimming at an angle? Doesn;t look like it there, bless him he's so pretty

No he swims normally the only time he goes vertical is when he suddenly decides to turn and swim the other way!

I dont think he's grown into it yet just learned how to manage it

Aaaah that's brilliant! He's finally growing into those big fins of his!

UPDATE

Moonshine has started to struggle with his tail while swimming, he had previously chewed some of his tail off but now its growing back he's not managing to swim properly, i feel for him so much now. Just sits on the leaf in his tank most of the time swimming must take up soo much energy for the little guy
