As most of you know I recently got some nice bettas from Karen Mac Auley who is one of the top ranked breeders in the USA. 2 of those bettas are a breeding pair of salamander butterflies who have already successfully spawned in the past. Well the female is 100% ready to breed, the male however is taking awhile to settle in, the shipping stressed him out, he munched on his fins during shipping, and he just needs more time to settle in and get his strength back up. Well since I always love experimenting, I decided to try breeding the salamander female to one of my green marble HMPK males. No idea what to expect from that crossing. Hopefully some fancy marbles, butterflies, and a mix of HM and HMPK. Very exciting!
