I noticed a pink spot around the ventral area on this Copper CT girl about a week ago and thought there was something wrong. Then she started losing colr on her dorsal, so after looking at her today I thought I better take a picture before she dissapears! Ha ha, I do love her look and am going to persue her coloring. Re: Copper Marble female
Thanks Nataliey, I've been breeding these Copper and Gold Crowntails for 3 years and don't know were the marble gene came from but I like it.

Re: Copper Marble female
So far she has settled in with a Gold Carmel color with reddish highlights. Sounds like something my 24 year old daughter would do to her hair. I can't make up my mind which male and color to try a spawn with. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]She is looking quite eggy so I need to decide.

Re: Copper Marble female
Do you still have the Platinum Yellow Dragon Delta? It had a trace of blue in it. I guess you
want to shy away from the Copper/Red DDR CT because of the red. You are more concerned
with colour rather than the tail type at this point I imagine.

Re: Copper Marble female
I spawned my Red White and Blue (Platinum) male to a sib sister 2 weeks ago and he wasn't taking care of the fry and since I was out of methylene blue they all died. I have more Methylene so I thought I'd try again. Now the females not having it and tore him a new one. Since he's already set up and is a tri-color Platinum I put the Marble Copper female in with him. Should be some unusually colored Halfsuns.

Re: Copper Marble female
Sorry you lost the other spawn. For some reason none of the distributors around here
make the methylene blue available anymore. Is there some underlying reason or excuse
for this? One has to order it online.
This new spawn should be an interesting one and hopefully worth running with maybe!

Re: Copper Marble female
Why would they want to sell something simple when they can make a pretty package with one tenth of the medication in tablet form and charge 3 times what a small bottle of methylene blue would cost. I have to drive 35 miles to get methylene blue or brine shrimp eggs and have to call ahead to make sure they have it. They don't want you making your fish well or breeding them so they can have a monopoly on them. Like the government trying to get rid of all the old cars and making the new ones so you can't work on them yourselves.

Re: Copper Marble female
i'm actually considering making my own meds here for that same reason... can't get antibiotics for fish here but all the other main ingredients can be bought in their natural form like malachete green, formalin (think i'll stick to the mixed concentrate rather than full formaldhyde) lol
its gonna cost about 30quid for each raw med but atleast i can make it up in fresh batches depending what i want it to treat
