new grow out tank

This is going to be my grow out tank... Most of the current plants were kindly donated by Time-out. Got more plants ordered and due next week so I will add pics as things progress.

the tank tester is a red marble butterfly, he's enjoying the exercise lol

he is full sized but looks tiny in there!

OMG if that betta is fullsized then the tank must me HUGE!!!! LOL! It looks good Kel, how many litres is it?

I'm not sure but def over 100 ltrs.. took many buckets to fill and that boy is young adult .. tank is 3ft long though.. 2" fish is kinda tiny!

Kel at what kind of age are you going to move the fry into the grow out tank? I am thinking after the disaster with my MG's (two surviving) that I might do something similar..

prob between the 1-3 weeks old, also going to overload it with live daphnia too so there's always something for them to nibble on between feeds.

Contemplating doing some fairy shrimp as well... not sure if I could get a big enough colony of them going though that the babbies won't much within days lol

nice to see u got a use for that 3ft kel and empty it 125l

turts stole it and never got as far as filling it so swapped it for a 2ft tank... I can't complain

was my original plan for it lol

yea, atleast he's got the two foot tank filled with water now, just needs to put the fish in it but waiting on delivery of a quiet airpump as the tank is beside the bed
