Hi there
My names Margaret and I live in sunny Scotland (yeh right !) Im a complete novice to the Betta but Ive become obsessed . I am on another forum for tropical fish keeping and theres a whole faction of people there that are fans of the betta. Ive been going through their posts and drooling over the beautiful photo's of thier fish, unfotunately its mostly american people on the other forum so I thought I'd look for a forum thats a little closer to home.
Im currently doing a lot of reading and learning about these gorgeous fish and Ive just set up a little 28L aquarium to house a male. I love the idea of helping to boost the quality of stock in the UK since Ive noticed (while searching for a fish just as a pet but of good quality) that there is a huge gap between the fish I could find easily available in the UK in comparison to the ones that are imported from Thailand and America. Aquabid.com a website that pops up all the time on the other forum has hundreds of pictures of fish that are just superb to look at. I know very little about getting good stock, breeding and rearing fry, but its captured my interest and so I would like to join your forum and learn as much as I can from the people with experiance
Yours Margaret x
