black orchid spawn II

well, with everything that had gone on in my larger tanks I decided it was best to leave Lucy and Spikey II in the spawning tank and as they were desperate to spawn I decided to continue. (they were put in there before all the trouble I had)

Lucy was as eager as ever and stuffed full of eggs and Spikey made a nice nest so I released her (after 2 days in the bottle).

Just some flaring and chasing so I put Lucy back in the bottle and on day three let her out again.

They wrapped quite quickly with no hassle (got it wrong a few times too):

Hopefully soon I will start to see some tails, but dad is doing a good job of tending the nest and when the eggs fall he puts them back - Lucy wasnt needed this time!

Congratulations hun, bout time you had a bit of better luck Fingers, toes and everything else crossed that you get babies this time

I haven't had chance to look yet but Kev said he saw 15 wrigglers and lost count so things Are looking good

Well did a head count today and managed to see twelve - but there could be more so I'm happy with that

the dad chasing his own reflection in his new home

How did they do damage wise? He doesn't look too bad!

they didnt - the damage he has is from lack of light - when I bought him off Kel she said his spikes were a bit limp as he needed some light and Lucy is only damaged since fighting with Bonnie

oh and over 20+ babies
