I have 6 spawns set up at the moment. Mainly dragons, or at least one parent of the couples is apart from the coppers. All HMxHM or HMPK male x HM female.
5 have produced some pretty impressive bubblenests i must say....I've done my usual thing this evening, releasing the female in with the male for 10mins after 3 days of them being jarred, for them to get aquainted more. Expecting the males to do there usual & chase the female abit to high heaven...keeping a watchful eye they don't do damaged.
Well....to my surprise with 4 of them its been the other way round, its been the females that are the problem! They are fairly built females too, all matching the males in size but my god they stood up for themselves good. I've had a couple tears to one male as the female looked for a fight basically by the looks of it.
I've not really had this situation before...& its thrown caution to the wind.
Am I to presume this is just the female being desperate & getting aggressive as the male is not responding the way she wants...? & things will cool in the next couple days hopefully....
I'll get some pictures tomorrow when the lights good.
They are all seperated again now, except one couple who appear to be getting along nicely.
