I got these guys at my local as a group of females, I of course knew different so picked out 5 possible males. Have had them 5 days now and am happy to say I can see a difference in them already *they were all housed together among others!*

Grizzle 1 ~ This 1 i am unsure of the sex, small Ventrals but long fins

Cambodian ~ Male, this chap had hardly any damage which I am very shocked about, 100% male as he nested Wink & is always flaring @ Grizzle 2

Please take note that they ALL have egg spots! 3 are 100% males!

Will hopefully get them adopted out once fully healed Smile

i 'm not sure if I 100% agree with you but think you've guessed well regardless of spots, you may be right so I with-hold judgement. Pictures also only show a bit and not the full picture that seeing them close up does...

1st has an iffy belly, looking a bit oval but prob be a late developing male

    2.grizzle looks male from pics

3.looks male but slow developer, tail looks a bit short but it's prob due to hm to pk crossing.

4.looks male from pics but watch for changes, again a cross tail type like the others which makes it harder to judge especially with the creation of lon finned females.

it will be interesting to see how they finally turn out when grown and fully back to healthy Smile

oh I love buying rescues....and I love a tank of "girls!" quite a few of my tatty girls have turned out to be boys. None near me at the moment, in any of the shops, they must be all up/down the road at Leicester! ps lovely fish by the way....x
