Thanks Dave i cant believe how big they are getting now only being nearly 3 months old on the 9th May...the bigger ones are starting to pick on the smaller ones at meal times so il be moving the smaller ones into my 17 litre tank as soon as my filter has cycled havent got any old media for it Rolling Eyes unless i chop some off the sponge filter!!

The little DT baby hasnt got a perfect tail split its kinda more to the top as you can see rather than the middle...that one is being kept and bred!!!

Thank you im so happy with this spawn not all mine are the same colour i could pretty much tell that there was going to be reds and whites from around 4 weeks old. So probably a variation in colour.

The DT was a suprise as its the only one that looks to be a double tail, defo a keeper whetever sex it turns out to be, as i will breed it with either mother or father after finding out if its male or female.

Id say iv around 15 left there are a few tiny ones which probably wont survive to be adults.

I'd be weary of shrimps in the same tank if this has happened. They have spikes in the head that can lodge themselves in the fish's throat and make it impossible to recover the fish. Just my 2 cents worth.

Today i noticed a chewed up dead body on the floor of the tank...i know one of the fry ripped the head off one of my shrimps so im thinking possible attack again!!!!

So iv moved the 5 bigger fry into another tank so its just those together and the smaller fry can catch up in growth without competition from the bigger fry.

Looks like 4 of the bigger fry may be girls i can see their ovi spots...but we'll see!!!

Cant take any photos until the weekend as my camera charger has been left in my other halves car and thats in Kent and im not!!

So iv had to try and use my phone and get 2 videos they are blurry but you can see the size difference between the bigger and smaller and 1 teeny tiny!

The 5 bigger fry here's the link:

    https://youtu.be/BYO49INcHds

    The smaller fry

    https://youtu.be/2C3eQt_AwCI

The first fry you see the purpley one has its aggression stripes on constantly now iv moved the bigger fry to the tank next door! Guarding the top of the tank!!
