The rummy nose tetra is a stunning fish, and is the perfect addtion to any community tank. The rummy nose is a great fish and will do we in groups of 6 or more, they are a very active fish, but peaceful and wil normally spend most of there day chasing each other back and forth and is really amusing to watch. There bodies are a goldy brown colour/and a black and white stripe tail and with a delightful red nose lol, this is an amazing fish and i would tell everyone to get 6 for there tank.

The male is thinner, while the female is more compact with a larger (Rounded) stomach during spawning

The rummy nose will thive in a well planted tank, with loads of place for them to explore and dive in and out of. Tempertures of 73-79 ° F are great for these fish. Feeding them is easy they will accept flake food, but make sure you treat them to some live or frozen foods every so often.

Great write up but rummy noses thrive in temps up to 32c/90f which is why they are often picked as tank mates for discus.
