You may just find it was a poorly spawn hun.

In theory at 3 months they should all be eating powdered adult foods and micropellets with some of the bigger ones starting to manage adult pellets.

Live food will always give you the best growth rate so I'd use it until you get them to size then worry about weaning and fussy eaters

at the current size trying them on non live food they are more likley to get weaker and thiner with refusing to eat it.

Growth isnt that fast with this little betta still very small for its age, even with 3 feeds a day of banana worms.

Looking quite unhealthy today gasping near the top of the tank, will it make it who knows but im praying it does as only survivor from first spawn and both mum and dad didnt survive either.

Do you have him contained in a trap towards the surface? Poor little guy

I may need to take it out and put in a separate tank as my 30~40 SDxHM fry are also in there and to lower water level it may get a little cramped.

Kink has actually changed colours on his finnage looks dark black like his mum was, here take a peek and tell me what you think:





His Kink in his tail is more noticeable too, il try get a photo...i think he's struggling swimming so gets out of breathe easily hence the gasping at the top of the tank yesterday.

Kink looks different today fins look a lot paler than they have done
