PostSubject: Betta Display Tank   Tue Dec 07, 2010 9:56 am

Hi Folks,

I've decided the time has come to sell my display tank. I plan to move in either Jan or Feb and have a full shop system waiting to be set up, so there is little point in me keeping this tank too.

It is 122cm long by 35cm high, by 31cm deep and holds about 120L. It has been divided into four sections by transparent polystyrene. Only the backs of the partitions are siliconed, for esthetic reasons, so you could always silicone the front if you wanted to. It comes with a low stand. The tank is open-top.

When I got it, it was in a dismal state, so I stripped it, resiliconed it and put it back together again. It cleaned up rather well. It was set up in June, so it's not exactly old!

I'll list below what the setup cost me and the price I'd like for it. If no-one on here wants it, I'll send it to ebay.

Bare tank: £70
Silicone: £9.20
Paint stripper: £6.98
Wood (x2), Screws & Polystyrene: £44.57

With it, you get also:
2 Overhead Lights (with integrated moonlight): £68.21
Sand: £34
Plants (x12): £40
Optional 2 brand new in box HOB filters: £29.96
The look on Simon's face: Priceless

Total cost: £303.91
This is basically a full setup. You're just missing heater(s) and food.

From you guys, I'd like £230 with filters or £200 without. On ebay, I'd let it run at auction. Full setups like this generally fetch well over £200.

We can deliver for £1 per mile one way and for an extra £40, I'll add 4 bettas out of a choice of HM, DDRCT and one remaining HMPK.

I also want to specify that I WOULD clean it, not just wipe it down as so many sellers do. The sand is already clean and bagged. The tank currently houses some angelfish and bettas, so when it gets sold, I'll strip it down completely and scrub it, so you'll have nothing to do but set it up.

It's now on ebay at £200 as BIN. I want it to run longer than just over xmas lol as that's a baaaad time to sell anything. If anyone from here wants it, pm me and it's yours for £180.
