I want to the exact set up iwagumi style!

How do you flatten the marimo/moss balls?

Are they easy to care for?

I heard they float?

How do you create the carpet?

Can you chop them in half?

I love moss balls! But when I tried to make mine into a carpet just couldnt get it to stop down in kept floating. Fine normal as a ball, but flat would float! Evil or Very Mad

when you chop them up it's hard to get them back into ball shape, need tumbled about lots

for a carpet it's worth tying/sewing them to a bit of mesh like you can do with java moss.... fishing line is great for it but mesh still usually needs weighted down either with a few stones or plant weights until it 'knits' to the substrate
