| Was asked the other day if i wanted 2 baby bunnies from a friends unwanted litter, I have decided to accept and have just purchased a double hutch from pets at home i have even built it by my self its now in the kitchen waiting for my other half to shift outside with me its huge, a bunny palace.
Had rabbits while i was growing up and all three of them lived till they were into their teens. My other half was less than impressed when i told him he said "ant you got enough on with the fish and dog".
So any way hoping to get them at some point over the weekend, Dog training all day tommorrow so will be either tomorrow night or sunday.

| Well i picked my bunnies up today i ended up bringing 3 home, they are so tiny i think they were too young myself to be leaving mum they are only 5 weeks old, she was adament they were old enough at 5 weeks, does anyone else know.
They are sooooooooooo quite and look tiny in the massive hutch i bought for them
will get some photos tommorrow when they settled they were very stressed and had a 45min car journey. |

| 5wk for bunnies is fine in fact give them another couple of weeks and they will be making little bunnies of their own Anyone remember the old star trek episode with the tribbles in it |

| Ok good. They have settled a bit now and are munching their hay, they are quite tame they come to the front for a stroke when i opened hutch.

| keep up with the regular handling and stroking. Rabbits being quite skittish little things easily become shy if not handled regularly and theres nothing cuter than a bunny that likes having its tummy tickled |

| I think thats a bit young for a rabbit to leave their mum. When a rabbit of mine had a litter they stayed together until 6 weeks, then removed boys. A rabbit forum i'm on recommends separating at 7 weeks I think. Do you know what sexes you have? Don't want any inbred surprises Best of luck with them |

| It is a little young ye most web sites say from 6wk's onwards but from 3 wks they are starting to wean themselves (testing out solid foods and hay), I think moms milk starts drying up around this point so it could be safe to remove them and as silver rabbit says you deffo want to split up the sexes. The phrase 'breeding like rabbits' doesnt come from nothing best of luck hun plz post us some piccies |

| Lol, we have the same problem Sarah, we think our 3 are all girls and they are well old enough to have done anything if they weren't but they haven't, must get them to the vet again to make sure, (he couldn't tell last time) bunny bits are very similar lol |
