| Juwel aquariums - I adore the rio sets, very good tanks. I change the filter and heater but the actual tank is good for everything, looks, quality and use.
I also have a juwel korall which is a good tank, not as asthetically pleasing as the rio but very good none the less. Comes complete with light, heater and pump and is all round excellent tank too.
------------------------------------------------------------------
Also, a bargain tank is the 10 litre glass tank from home bargains. at £9.99 for tank, lid, sponge filter including air pump and net it is an excellent tank for either one male or a hospital tank.
If using for no more than a few days I would recommend changing the air pump though as it is a very noisey little so and so! I changed mine for a tetratec whisper and I use the smallest one to run TWO sponge filters. |

| I agree with Haych, the 10 litre tank from HB is really worth the money, but i also changed the filter as it was far too noisy and the filter wouldnt stick to the bottom of the tank even with the little sucker at the base! I changed mine for the Penn Plax internal filter from pets@home. Also use them in my other small tanks never had any problems with them. |

| I have two Juwel Visions and they're fab. They make your eyes go funny if you're too close, though.
I've heard only good about Fluval tanks. I have a 60L one from '76 that's (almost) impeccable. Plus some of their range come with an external filter and connections under the tank. |

| For one betta, the 18L Aqua Cubes are brilliant! Filters are a bit fierce, but Teri suggested foam in front which works well, light is great and has a blue light for nights too! £30 from Pets at homes stores, love em! |

I struggled finding a long one. Finally found a £40 5th hand one, that needed about £150 worth of work doing to it lol. I had a grumble to the seller, as you can imagine. If you do find a branded one (not home-made like this), do please share. It'd be nice to regain a bit of territory on the dinner table. |

clear seal do ones that are 60x30x30 and 75x30x38 and fairly cheap about £50 brand new. Some people dont like clear seal but ive had quite a few of there tanks over the years and never had any problems. |

Iv seen that the clear seal tanks are quite cheap. |

one of my lfs's sell clear seal tanks with the lid, so i dont think its that...i think a clear seal will be a last resort tank. |

I have 2 of these tanks and i also changed the pump because of the noise, but also not long after getting mine i woke up one morning after a power cut to find one of my ct males dead with his head stuck in the plastic top of this filter and unable to get to the surface he died, i have since changed to a smaller sponge filter with no outer plastic casing. lesson learned |

| i currently have an elite 60ltr, which is a good tank. although, the stingray filter isn't the best., if anyone is thinking of purchasing one, try to bargain a diff filter, the stingray is way to strong for a 60ltr but the heater that comes with it is good.
I also had an aqua 320 tank, 28ltrs, good little tank, inbuilt light to the hood, filter was fab but i wouldn't use the undergravel filter, just stick to a normal filter.
i am looking at getting a jewel rio 125 with a free cabinet for £195 on seapets.co.uk |
