PostSubject: External filters???   Sat Jun 05, 2010 7:28 pm

Iv been looking for a while for an external filter (never used one before, always used internal) looked at Fluval's and other well known brands but looked on ebay today and saw this external filter:
Aquarium fish tank external filter 1400L/H 9WUV + Media

i think for the price u couldnt go wrong with em specially with the uv as well as this will stop the out break of diseases with in the tank. just remember to run the filter for a couple of months with out the uv in as it will kill the bacteria to get rid of the ammonia and nitrites before it gets a chance to get a hold onto the filter sponges

its a uvc so will only stop algae blooms in water (like pond uv's) for sterilising you need a uv steriliser as the water passes closer to the tube

Fluval and Eheim are the best of the best. JBL is a sort of middle-ground. As for the ones you're asking about, sorry, but I haven't heard anything about them.
