mahachai spawn

A pair of my mahachai betta spawned this morning.

There's a nice little clump of eggs int he nest. I'll try and up the pics later.

Fingers crossed the male doesn't eat the eggs this time!!

He's looking like a well behaved Daddy at the min Smile

Update*

As I was afraid of the male ate the babies the night after taking pictures.. Was going to remove him next day as they would have been free swimming by then.

But goodnews

I set upa different pair and now have 4 day old fry. This time I took the male out as soon as they were all hanging in the nest.

I'll nab pics asap.. just been too hectic lol

Around 6 weeks old now but small.. as soon as i can get them weened to dry foods they'll bulk up fast.

Wild types always seem that bit harder to adjust. Sad
